Sometimes players take time to develop into good players in the NFL and it can be easy for a team like the Minnesota Vikings to give up on someone too soon.

There is such a thing as a late bloomer in the NFL and teams like the Minnesota Vikings can sometimes let a player go before they have had the opportunity to realize the potential they had when they first joined the team.

Impatience is understandable in professional football since some players never prove their value to a franchise before the team moves on from them. It truly is a league that values a player’s current play and values them based on that.

It is tough to see a player leave the Vikings and find success when Minnesota could have used their production. Sadly, that’s exactly what happened with some fairly recent players who were draft picks or undrafted free agents.

Let’s take a look at five players the Minnesota Vikings may have given up on too soon and could have been valuable to the team if they would have stuck around and played for a few seasons after they were let go.
