Third Round (Pick No. 87)

A.T. Perry – WR (Wake Forest)

Having the Vikings select a running back in Bijan Robinson in the first round might have come as a shock to some, since many view the wide receiver position as one of the team’s biggest needs heading into this year’s draft.

But Robinson was just too good to pass up. However, Minnesota still ends up being able to land a very talented pass-catcher in the third round in former Wake Forest receiver A.T. Perry.

Measuring in at just under 6-foot-4 and weighing just 198 pounds, Perry is a bit slender, but he makes up for it with his 4.47 speed. In 2021, he averaged 18.3 yards per catch, and last season, he finished with 81 receptions for 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The former Wake Forest receiver would give the Vikings more opportunities to stretch the field with their passing attack. Perry’s height and long arms would also make him a nice weapon for Minnesota to have in red zone and goal line situations.
