Vikings 7-Round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Danielle Hunter traded and replaced
By Adam Patrick
Fourth Round (Pick No. 119)
Dorian Williams – LB (Tulane)
In the third round, the Vikings added a receiver to help make up for the departure of Adam Thielen this offseason. So with their fourth-round selection, Minnesota decides to use it on a player to help make up for one of their other big-name losses this year, linebacker Eric Kendricks.
During his prime, Kendricks was arguably one of the best pass-coverage linebackers in the NFL. Dorian Williams is someone who could be able to provide some of those old Kendricks vibes with his skills as a pass defender.
In 2022, Williams ranked as one of the top linebackers in the country in terms of PFF’s pass coverage grade. The former Tulane defender accumulated seven pass breakups and two interceptions during his final season of college football, in addition to opposing quarterbacks generating a rating of just 67.1 when throwing in his direction.
Williams performed well in his other duties as a defender as well in 2022, as he finished with a total of 132 tackles (8.5 for a loss), five sacks, and two forced fumbles.
