As expected, the NFL's free agency period has been full of excitement for the Minnesota Vikings this offseason. During the last few days, the Vikings have been able to add a number of notable free agents to their roster including Jonathan Allen, Will Fries, Ryan Kelly, and Javon Hargrave.

While Minnesota has been busy adding new faces to its locker room, several former members of the franchise have also signed contracts with new teams during this year's free agency period.

Most Vikings fans already know where guys like Sam Darnold, Cam Bynum, and Daniel Jones have ended up this offseason. But what about some former Minnesota players who weren't part of the 2024 team that won 14 games? Who did they sign with this year?

Possibly forgotten Minnesota Vikings who have signed with new teams in the 2025 NFL offseason

Dalvin Tomlinson - DL

2024 Team: Cleveland Browns
New Team: Arizona Cardinals

After getting released by the Browns earlier this month, it didn't take very long for Dalvin Tomlinson to find a new home in the league. Tomlinson was quickly scooped up by the Cardinals with a two-year contract worth $29 million.

Josh Dobbs - QB

2024 Team: San Francisco 49ers
New Team: New England Patriots

While it's hard to forget the magic Josh Dobbs created during his brief stint with the Vikings in 2023, most probably didn't realize that he recently landed a contract with the Patriots. After spending last season as Brock Purdy's backup in San Francisco, Dobbs will now compete to be the No. 2 quarterback behind Drake Maye in New England for the 2025 campaign.

Alexander Mattison - RB

2024 Team: Las Vegas Raiders
New Team: Miami Dolphins

Despite only gaining 420 yards on the ground, former Minnesota third-round pick Alexander Mattison led all Raiders players in rushing yards last season. Mattison will look to see if joining the Dolphins' offensive backfield will help him bounce back from an underwhelming 2024 season in Las Vegas.

Kris Boyd - DB

2024 Team: Houston Texans
New Team: New York Jets

Kris Boyd emerged as a solid special-teamer for the Texans last season, but unfortunately, his most memorable moment from 2024 was when he pushed one of Houston's assistant coaches after a play during a Divisional Round playoff matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. If Boyd wants to earn a spot on the Jets' final 2025 roster, keeping his hands off of members of the coaching staff will need to be a priority.
