After connecting over 100 times during their time together with the Minnesota Vikings, Kirk Cousins and K.J. Osborn are joining forces again as members of the Atlanta Falcons after they reportedly signed the former 2020 fifth-round pick to the team's practice squad on Monday.

If Osborn is able to find his way onto the field for Atlanta's next game, it should help make life a little easier for Cousins, as he continues to start in place of Falcons second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

Atlanta and its 37-year-old signal-caller are coming off a much-needed 24-10 victory over the rival New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Cousins finished the game with a completion rate of 69.6 percent, 199 passing yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and a passer rating of 107.0.

Former Minnesota Vikings teammates, Kirk Cousins and K.J. Osborn, reunite on Atlanta Falcons roster midway through 2025 season

Before Osborn landed with Atlanta on Monday, he spent his Sundays watching the NFL at home like the rest of us. He attempted to make the Washington Commanders' final 2025 roster this past summer, but they let him go in August before the start of the regular season.

In 2024, Osborn appeared in seven games with the New England Patriots until he was eventually waived with only a few weeks left in the regular season.

His tenure since leaving the Vikings in the 2024 offseason certainly hasn't gone as well as his time in purple and gold.

In four seasons with Minnesota, Osborn hauled in 158 passes for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns. Since signing with the Patriots last year, he's only accumulated a total of seven catches for 57 yards and one score.

Osborn first entered the league when the Vikings selected him in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He emerged as a solid No. 3 receiver during his time in Minnesota, and now he's reunited with the quarterback who fed him the football during the most successful part of his pro career.
