Sunday's huge Week 18 matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions will be unique for a variety of reasons, but something that will happen as a result of the outcome is that the NFC playoff bracket will have a Wild-Card team with 14 wins.

This is something that never happens, and it's led some people to have a discussion about whether the NFL should reconsider how they determine the seeds for each team in the postseason moving forward.

Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is among those who recently shared his thoughts on the fact that either his team or the Vikings will end up as a Wild-Card team in the playoffs, despite winning 14 games in the regular season.

"It's crazy, I mean, I think the rule should be changed. Obviously, if you win your division, you should obviously [get] a playoff spot. But having a 14-win team having to go on the road [in the playoffs] is kind of crazy, but I don't make the rules."

Are the Detroit Lions already thinking of complaints if they lose to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday?

St. Brown was asked his opinion about the unique playoff situation that Detroit and Minnesota currently find themselves in heading into the final week of the regular season, so it's not like he made his comments un-prompted.

However, his answer sounds more like someone who is preparing to be the team that ends up losing on Sunday and is forced to enter the playoffs as a 14-win Wild-Card team.

If St. Brown was confident in Detroit's chances to win this weekend, wouldn't he have said something more along the lines of, "It is what it is," and "We're not really going to worry about that since we expect to win on Sunday,"?

Instead, it seemed like he was already trying to get ahead and state how the NFL's current method of seeding in the playoffs is unfair to teams that perform better than some of the division winners in the conference.

This way, if the Lions lose on Sunday, St. Brown can point to his comments and remind people that he already said the league needs to change the rule.

Perhaps his comments sound fine to others, but for whatever reason, the tone of what he said just didn't seem like it was filled with a ton of confidence as Detroit prepares to battle the Vikings this weekend for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
