After some uncertainty earlier in the week, the final Minnesota Vikings injury report for the team's game on Sunday against the Detroit Lions has revealed that veteran running back Aaron Jones will be on the field for the purple and gold.
Jones has been dealing with a quad contusion that he suffered in Minnesota's win over the Green Bay Packers last weekend. But, thankfully, he was left off the team's final injury report on Friday, which means he'll be suiting up for the Vikings in a game in Detroit on Sunday that has a tremendous amount on the line.
Against Detroit this week, Jones will be attempting to end the regular season with at least 1,500 total yards from scrimmage for the third time in his career. He's at 1,471 total yards heading into Sunday, so there's a good chance that he will surpass the 1,500 mark.
Final Minnesota Vikings injury report for Week 18 against the Detroit Lions
While Jones will be playing this weekend, Minnesota's final injury report for Week 18 did feature game status designations for three of their players.
Vikings edge rusher Patrick Jones II has already been ruled out for the matchup because of a knee injury he suffered last week, while linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill (illness) and cornerback Fabian Moreau (hip) are both listed as questionable for Sunday's NFC North battle.
Overall, Minnesota is about as healthy as they could have probably ever hoped for heading into a huge regular-season finale. Of the 22 players who started on offense and defense for the Vikings all the way back in Week 1, 21 of them will be active for Sunday's matchup in Detroit.
As for the Lions, they currently have 18 players on injured reserve, and the majority of them are from the defensive side of the ball. Detroit has still been able to win games this season in spite of its high amount of injuries, but the Vikings' roster being significantly more healthy heading into Sunday is likely going to have a large impact on the outcome.
