First Vikings injury report for Week 11 features a Sam Darnold surprise
By Adam Patrick
It's that time of year when the first Minnesota Vikings injury report of the week typically features a number of players who might need a little more time to recover from the previous game than they did just a few weeks ago. Hopefully, this is the case for Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, who is apparently dealing with an injury after the team's Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Due to an injured right hand, Darnold was one of six Minnesota players who were listed as limited on the team's first injury report of the week on Wednesday. The full injury report can be found below.

The Vikings made sure to clarify that Wednesday's practice was only a walkthrough, so Darnold's participation was only an estimate. Still, any sort of injury to a quarterback's throwing hand seems like something worth keeping an eye on.
According to the Minnesota Star Tribune's Ben Goessling, Darnold appeared to injure his hand this past Sunday against Jacksonville when attempting to make a tackle after throwing his third interception of the game. He was able to finish the matchup, but it's clearly been enough of an issue since then that Minnesota felt the need to list him on its injury report.
In addition to Darnold popping up on the Vikings' first injury report of the week, Minnesota running back Aaron Jones was also listed as limited on Wednesday due to injured ribs. Jones had to be carted off the field midway through Sunday's win over the Jaguars, but he was eventually able to return to the matchup.
Hopefully, the injuries to Darnold and Jones turn out to be nothing too concerning, and both are able to suit up against the Tennessee Titans this week during the Vikings' attempt to improve their record to 8-2 this season.
