Teams around the NFL are constantly looking for the next great offensive minds to lead their franchise to success. The Minnesota Vikings are fortunate enough to have head coach Kevin O'Connell, offensive coordinator Wes Phillips, quarterbacks coach Josh McCown, and wide receivers coach Keenan McCardell to help steer the ship.
The Vikings finding a great combination of coaches took a long time to put together. However, that doesn't mean that every coach and assistant Minnesota moved on from in the post isn't good at what they do.
In fact, multiple former coaches who wore purple and gold have gone on to have success in the NFL. That's a reason it isn't surprising that a former offensive-minded coach is getting another opportunity after being hired by an NFC West team.
Former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator hired by the Seattle Seahawks
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo recently shared that the Seattle Seahawks are hiring former Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator to be their offensive coordinator for the 2025 NFL season.
The #Seahawks are hiring former #Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their new OC, sources tell The Insiders.

Klint Kubiak is the son of Gary Kubiak, who was a former NFL quarterback and head coach of the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos as well as offensive coordinator for the Vikings. Klint was hired by Minnesota in 2019 to be the team's quarterbacks coach while working under his father, who was the team's assistant head coach & offensive advisor.
In 2021, Klint Kubiak was named the offensive coordinator of the Vikings, a job which only lasted one season. He went on to coach for four other teams before being hired as the Seahawks offensive coordinator this offseason.
Kubiak will have his hands full as Seattle's offensive coordinator. In a highly competitive division with some strong defenses, he will need to get the most out of his players while providing creating plays for the team to execute.
Mike Macdonald is the current head coach of the Seahawks. Kubiak was reportedly Macdonald's "top choice" to replace former offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, who was fired after the 2024 season.
37-year-old Klint Kubiak is still a young coach with a long, bright future ahead of him. He started coaching at Texas A&M in 2010 and has gained a ton of experience that should help him succeed in his new role.
Best of luck to Klint Kubiak with the Seattle Seahawks...unless they're playing the Minnesota Vikings, of course.
