Things haven't exactly gone according to plan for Lewis Cine after he was selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. Cine didn't even make it to a third season with the Vikings, and now his career in the league appears to be quickly approaching the end as he currently fights for a job with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 25-year-old safety is currently in training camp with the Eagles, and based on some of the most recent 53-man roster projections from a number of outlets that cover the team on a daily basis, he's not expected to join Philadelphia on the field when they begin the 2025 regular season in a few weeks.

It's possible that the Eagles could decide to keep Cine around on their practice squad for the 2025 campaign, but even that's not a guarantee for the former Vikings first-round pick.

Lewis Cine is easily the biggest Minnesota Vikings NFL Draft bust of the last 10 years

Cine might not be the biggest Minnesota draft bust of all-time (he made it to practice at least, unlike Dimitrius Underwood), but he's easily the franchise's biggest draft bust from the last 10 years.

Some might argue against this and suggest that former Vikings wide receiver (and 2016 first-round selection) Laquon Treadwell is more deserving of this title. But Treadwell and Cine actually had the same amount of total tackles in their careers with Minnesota, and only one of them played on the defensive side of the ball for a living.

Believe it or not, Treadwell is also still in the NFL, as he's currently attempting to land a job with the Indianapolis Colts for the 2025 season. 10 years after the Vikings drafted him, he's still doing whatever he can to continue his career in the league.

Do we think Cine is still going to be competing for a roster spot with an NFL team 10 years after he was drafted? If your answer is yes, stop lying to yourself.
