The 6-2 Minnesota Vikings hope to stay competitive in the NFC North by getting a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. The purple and gold are the visiting team in the game, kicking off a three-game road trip.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars have a 2-7 record and their starting quarterback is dealing with a shoulder injury that could sideline him for multiple weeks. This is not a good sign for Jacksonville as they face a tough Vikings squad.
To have the best chance of winning, both teams will need to have as many of their best players available to be on the field on Sunday afternoon.
Inactives announced for Vikings and Jaguars in Week 10
The inactive players for Week 10 were announced for the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars according to each team's social media account on X.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings posted their inactive player list which included six players who will not be in action on Sunday.
Minnesota's inactives include two offensive linemen, two defensive backs, a defensive lineman, and a quarterback. There aren't many surprises on the list and thankfully neither of the Vikings' starting interior linebackers were included on the list. That means that Blake Cashman and Ivan Pace Jr. are likely to be in the starting lineup.
This season, Brett Rypien has been designated as the emergency quarterback on multiple occasions. He will likely assume that role again, with Nick Mullens acting as the primary backup for Vikings QB Sam Darnold.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The inactive list for the Jaguars is a bit more interesting than the one shared by the Vikings for Week 10,
Unlike the list shared by Minnesota, Jacksonville's list has a couple of notable inclusions. Two starters are included among the names of players who won't be active for the Jaguars in this game.
The most notable inclusion is quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Jacksonville's quarterback is dealing with a significant shoulder injury that could cause him to miss significant time or even put him on injured reserve.
Lawrence's injury means that the Jaguars will turn to former New England Patriots starting quarterback Mac Jones. Jacksonville's backup started 42 games for the Patriots throwing for nearly 9,000 yards there and even made the Pro Bowl in 2021.
Ezra Cleveland is the other notable player on the list. A former staring offensive lineman for the Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland has played well for the Jaguars and will be a big absence for Jacksonville's offensive line.
