There aren't many pending free agents for the Minnesota Vikings who will draw a lot of attention this offseason, but it wouldn't be surprising to see teams look into wide receiver Jalen Nailor if they need some help offensively.
Of course, the Vikings would likely love to bring 26-year-old pass catcher back on a reasonably priced contract extension. However, it is difficult to know if other teams will express interest in his services to drive his contract value up.
Nailor had a great year in Minnesota in 2025. He made some tough catches while stretching the field in one of the most inconsistent passing offenses in the NFL. In the right system with the right players, he could be an even bigger contributor.
An AFC contender might look to acquire Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jalen Nailor this offseason.
The Michigan State standout was a sixth-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in the 2022 NFL Draft. Since then, he has worked his way into a trusted role in the purple and gold's offense and should continue to improve as he gains more reps.
Recently, the idea of Jalen Nailor joining an AFC powerhouse was discussed by Daniel Fisher of NESN. In the article, the author discusses how the New England Patriots need to strengthen their receiving corps, and the Vikings' pass catcher would be a great addition.
Here is what he had to say about the possibility of Nailor becoming a Patriot:
"Nailor would make an excellent No. 3 wide receiver for New England, complementing Kayshon Boutte and potentially Stefon Diggs, assuming he remains with the Patriots next season."
This would be a great role for Nailor and would be similar to the one he played with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison in Minnesota. In this type of position, he can continue to be productive while taking pressure off the team's top targets and giving Drake Maye another solid receiving option on the field.
"Spotrac recently estimated Nailor's market value at $4.7 million per season, which would be a relatively affordable option for the Patriots. They might consider offering him a one-year deal."
At that price, Jalen Nailor would be a fantastic bargain, but a one-year deal at that price seems unlikely unless it is loaded with incentives. Otherwise, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Minnesota Vikings try to match any offer he receives in free agency to keep him on the team for the 2026 NFL season.
