Jared Allen has wardrobe malfunction while celebrating his HOF gold jacket

If a 2025 Pro Football Hall of Famer was going to have a wardrobe malfunction, betting money would've been on Jared Allen.

Jared Allen spent exactly half of his 12-year Hall of Fame career with the Minnesota Vikings, with 82.5 of his 136 career sacks in Purple and Gold (including 22, the third-highest single season total in NFL history, in 2011). The 2025 induction ceremony in Canton took place on Saturday afternoon.

Allen not only took his career to a Hall of Fame level in Minnesota, he became a massive fan favorite. After sacks, his calf-roping celebration became the stuff of legend. When he spoke to the media before Friday's practice, Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell wore a t-shirt commemorating Allen's Hall of Fame induction and Allen did the press conference acknowledging his induction at the Vikings' facility.

"We're so proud of him and what this weekend means for him, "O'Connell said on Friday. "I know I speak for all of our fans and every member of our organization in saying congratulations to him, how proud we are of him, being a part of our great history."

The Vikings will celebrate Allen with a halftime ceremony at U.S. Bank Stadium during their Week 2 home opener in September against the Atlanta Falcons.

Part of Hall of Fame induction weekend is the Gold Jacket Dinner on Friday night, where the inductees get their gold blazers and are officially welcomed into the exclusive club. When Allen's bronze bust is revealed on Saturday, we already now it will rightfully feature his signature mullet.

Former Minnesota Vikings DE Jared Allen suffers a wardrobe malfunction while celebrating his gold jacket

Allen of course took the stage to receive his gold jacket on Friday night.

Allen then did his signature calf-roping celebration on stage with his family to cheers from those in attendance. And as he turned to go back down the runway....Allen had a big split in his right pant leg. Apparently they don't make dress slacks like they used to.

If there was betting money to be placed on any Hall of Famer to have an ill-timed wardrobe malfunction, Allen would be close to (if not at) the top of the list. But doing his signature sack celebration on stage at the Gold Jacket Dinner should have been expected, and things like that are why Vikings fans loved and still love him.
