The beginning of the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns game did not go as planned, with the Browns' first score, but there was a bigger story brewing than that as the game started.

Every fan noticed on the first few drives of the game that Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was not on the field. It was odd since he was coming off his first game of the season after being suspended for the first three games.

Addison shone with four receptions for 114 yards, including a massive 81-yard completion late in the fourth quarter to get them back in the Steelers game last week. It all seemed good from that matchup, and that he would be more involved in his second game.

With so much mystery around the game in London that Sherlock Holmes wouldn't be able to solve, an ending to the investigation gave Minnesota the results they wanted.

Why didn't Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison play in the first quarter against the Cleveland Browns?

During the first quarter, Addison was benched as ESPN's Kevin Seifert called it "a coach's decision." No one knew what that meant, but they were happy to see him back on the field in the second quarter.

Addison's performance after that wasn't as spectacular as the one he put up last week, but he made the most important play of the game. On the final drive of the game, Carson Wentz connected with Addison with a beautiful back shoulder catch to score from 12 yards out with 25 seconds left in the game to help the Vikings secure the 21-17 win over the Browns.

The final stat line for Addison included five receptions for 41 yards and the game-winning touchdown. Addison caught the last three passes of the game for 21 yards to close out the final offensive drive of the game.

Everyone is going to be asking what happened with Addison to be benched for the first quarter, but he more than made up for it with the score as he becomes the hero for Minnesota.
