On Monday, the NFL players with 99 overall ratings in the Madden NFL 26 video game were revealed, and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was among those selected for the exclusive group.

A 99 rating is the highest a player can be given in the game, and for Jefferson, he has now been given a 99 rating three years in a row. He joins Josh Allen, Myles Garrett, Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, Ja'Marr Chase, and Lane Johnson as the only players to have a 99 rating in this year's version of the game, or as the "Madden" franchise calls it, the 99 Club.

Justin Jefferson receives latest "Madden" honor from two Minnesota Vikings legends

Jefferson was surprised to find out that Cris Carter and John Randle were at the TCO Perfomance Center and took the podium to announce his 99 rating.

"We're coming with the Madden ratings, J.J.! 99! One of several players. Justin Jefferson! Come on down, he can put it with the rest of the diamonds!" exclaimed Carter.

Randle opened the box to reveal the chain, and every Vikings player and staff member in attendance cheered.

Jefferson was surprised to see Carter and Randle, but he was all smiles as he accepted his honor.

As football fans may know, when "Madden NFL 25" revealed its player ratings last year, Jefferson was given a 98 rating, but it was bumped up to a 99 later in the season.

By getting a 99 rating for "Madden NFL 26", he's now the first Vikings player to enter a season with a 99 rating more than once in his career.

Jefferson is one-of-one. He is an unreal talent, and he has been a star ever since he came into the league when he dropped into Minnesota's lap when the Philadelphia Eagles passed on him to select Jalen Reagor in the 2020 NFL Draft instead.

There will never be another Justin Jefferson; he will always be a super special player. The Vikings are lucky to have him and are super thankful the Eagles passed on him.
