There is no denying that Justin Jefferson is special. The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver is widely regarded as the best pass catcher in the NFL and became the face of the organization upon his arrival in 2020.

Selected No. 22 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jefferson has already been named to three All-Pro teams, three Pro Bowls, and won Offensive Player of the Year in 2022. He accumulated over 1,000 receiving yards in every season so far and is on track to do it again this season.

Justin Jefferson recreates legendary piece of Minnesota sports history

Justin Jefferson isn't the first Minnesota sports player to cause massive excitement. With basketball season tipping off today, there is a lot of hype in the NBA surrounding Timberwolves shooting guard Anthony Edwards.

Before that, the Vikings had superstar Randy Moss, who routinely made highlight-reel catches and captured the hearts of fans. During that time, the Timberwolves had power forward Kevin Garnett, who made fans go crazy.

Back in 200, Sport magazine released an issue featuring Moss and Garnett in a pose that became iconic in Minnesota sports. The photo showed the two sports icons representing each other's sports while swapping jerseys.

Recently, ESPN recreated the iconic photo of Randy Moss and Kevin Garnett, using current Vikings and Timberwolves stars Justin Jefferson and Anthony Edwards who added their style to the photograph with sunglasses and necklaces.

Justin Jefferson will be in action on Thursday Night Football when the 5-1 Minnesota Vikings travel to California to take on the Los Angeles Rams as the purple and gold hope to rebound from a loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 7.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves tip off their season tonight in California as they face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in what should be an excellent contest.

The attention that Minnesota sports is getting from fans and the media is amazing. Last season, the Timberwolves made the conference finals in the playoffs and excitement is growing about how the team will perform this year. On the other hand, the Minnesota Vikings have a 5-1 record and look like one of the best teams in the league with a strong defense and dynamic offense.

It is a great time to be a Minnesota sports fan. Teams have a lot to be excited about, especially with stars like Justin Jefferson and Anthony Edwards continuing to provide excellent performances and hopefully a championship in the future.
