On Tuesday, Justin Jefferson arrived at the TCO Performance Center for his sixth training camp with the Minnesota Vikings, and he didn't enter the building alone.
Walking side by side with Jefferson was his tag-team partner on the field, fellow Vikings receiver Jordan Addison, who is entering his third season with the franchise.
As the pair of talented pass-catchers entered Minnesota's practice facility, Jefferson repeated four words to fire up the fan base and remind everyone what sort of havoc he and Addison plan to wreak on the rest of the NFL during the upcoming season.
"The duo is back. The duo is back."
Can Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison emerge as one of the best WR duos in Minnesota Vikings history?
In their third year together as teammates, the sky is literally the limit for Jefferson and Addison. Minnesota's current No. 1 and No. 2 wide receivers have the talent to put together a season that hasn't been seen since the days of Cris Carter and Randy Moss.
Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are the last Vikings duo to both finish with at least 1,000 receiving yards in the same season when they accomplished it back in 2018. Thielen and Diggs were a great pass-catching duo for Minnesota, but they didn't have the star power that Jefferson and Addison currently possess.
Jefferson is an NFL megastar and arguably the best wide receiver in the league, while Addison has been the subject of highlight reels on TikTok since his days in college at USC and Pittsburgh.
Last season, the Vikings' pass-catching duo combined for 2,408 receiving yards, which was the second-most for a receiving duo in the NFL in 2024 behind only Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals.
With J.J. McCarthy now taking over at quarterback for Minnesota, will he help Jefferson and Addison reach an even higher performance level during the 2025 season? We'll have to wait and find out, but Jefferson is clearly confident in the talent that he and Addison both bring to the table.
