The Super Bowl is finally here. Although the Minnesota Vikings aren't playing for the Lombardi Trophy this season, there are some individuals who previous spent time with the purple and gold who could become champions.

Sunday's game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles should be a hard-fought battle between two teams that know how to win big games. Although Vikings fans won't have much at stake in the game, there are some familiar faces to watch.

The game will be broadcast on FOX with Kendrick Lamar as the halftime entertainment. Those without access to that channel will be able to watch the game for free on Tubi with the pregame festivities starting at 11 am ET.

Lewis Cine and 5 former Minnesota Vikings who could win a Super Bowl ring today

Most of the talk surrounding Super Bowl LIX involves Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles but there will be some former Minnesota Vikings who could get a ring if their team is victorious.

Lewis Cine, safety - Philadelphia Eagles

A first-round selection of the Vikings in the 2022 NFL Draft, Lewis Cine couldn't seem to find his footing in Minnesota. Injuries and ineffectiveness led to his release before the end of his rookie deal, leading to him joining the Buffalo Bills practice squad and then signed to the 53-man roster of the Eagles.

Khari Blasingame, fullback - Philadelphia Eagles (practice squad)

Fullbacks can be hard to find on NFL rosters, but the Eagles have former Vikings blocker Khari Blasingame on their practice squad. Although he never played a regular-season snap for Minnesota, he was an undrafted free agent of the team in 2019 and spent time on the practice squad.

Dallas Gant, linebacker - Philadelphia Eagles (practice squad)

Another undrafted free agent of the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Gant was on the practice squad in 2024 for a short time. The former Ohio State and Toledo defender played in two games for the Eagles this season.

Nick Muse, tight end - Philadelphia Eagles (practice squad)

A late addition to the Eagles practice squad, tight end Nick Muse was a solid player in Minnesota but got lost in a deep positional depth chart. In three seasons with the Vikings, he played in 16 games where he caught one pass for 22 yards.

Parry Nickerson, cornerback - Philadelphia Eagles (practice squad)

Parry Nickerson has bounced around the NFL after being a sixth-round pick of the Jets in 2018. He saw regular season action with the Vikings in 2021 but is on his seventh team since entering the league.

Roy Anderson, coach -Philadelphia Eagles

On the sidelines, Roy Anderson is the cornerbacks coach for the Eagles. He was the assistant defensive backs/safeties coach from 2020 to 2022 and had a short stop in Seattle before landing in Philadelphia. And no, he never worked in the warehouse at Dunder Mifflin in Scranton.

Interestingly, there are no former Minnesota Vikings on the Kansas City side of things. That means that fans hoping for a former purple and gold member to get a ring would have to root for the Eagles, which might be tough to do.
