A day after the Minnesota Vikings finalized their 53-man roster for the 2025 NFL season, building a practice squad was next on the team's list of priorities for the week.
Minnesota didn't make a ton of surprise cuts before Tuesday's roster trimming deadline, but there were still some departures that raised a few eyebrows when the news was revealed.
For some of those guys, they have been lucky enough to return to the Vikings as part of the team's practice squad, while others opted to start a new journey with a different NFL team for the 2025 season.

Gabriel Murphy was one of the most notable cuts made by Minnesota on Tuesday, so, thankfully, the team was able to bring him back as a member of their practice squad.
Murphy is outstanding as a pass rusher, but it seems like the Vikings would like him to expand his skill set beyond just getting after the quarterback before they give him significant snaps on defense.
A few guys who have been in the NFL for several years have also found their way onto Minnesota's practice squad this year in wide receiver Tim Jones, cornerback Fabien Moreau, and tight end Nick Vannett.
Jones was released from the Vikings' active roster following the team's trade for Adam Thielen on Wednesday, but he gets to stick around on Minnesota's practice squad.
Moreau returns to the Vikings after appearing in eight games with the team last season (including the playoffs). Vannett joined Minnesota this summer and has been in the NFL since 2016.
