Before signing with the Minnesota Vikings this past offseason, veteran running back Aaron Jones spent the first seven years of his NFL career as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

During his tenure with the Packers, Jones was a part of several teams that experienced a ton of success out on the field, including multiple trips to the NFC Championship. On Thursday, however, the current Vikings running back shared something that probably isn't going to make Green Bay fans too happy.

"This is probably the most fun I've had playing football. Just being around a great group of guys. forward to coming into work everyday."

Aaron Jones and Minnesota Vikings looking to sweep the Green Bay Packers this season

Back in Week 4, Minnesota was able to escape Lambeau Field with a 31-29 victory over the Packers in what was Jones's first game against his former team. On Sunday, the Vikings and their No. 1 running back will be looking to sweep the season series with Green Bay for the first time since 2017.

In that Week 4 win, Jones played a big role in the result, accumulating 139 total yards (93 rushing, 46 receiving) on 26 touches. This weekend, it seems safe to assume that he's going to have a large role in Minnesota's game plan once again.

The Vikings will be going up against a Packers defense that has been significantly better against the run since the last time these two teams faced off.

In their last five games, Green Bay has allowed its opponents to only average 3.4 rushing yards per carry, which ranks second in the NFL during that time span behind only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jones has averaged 4.5 yards per rushing attempt this season and 4.7 per carry in his last five games, so it should be a good matchup on Sunday when he takes on the Packers defense.

If Minnesota is going to sweep Green Bay for the first time since the 2017 season this weekend, they'll likely need a solid day from Jones. But based on how well he's performed during his first year in a Vikings uniform, it seems safe to assume he will be making plenty of plays on Sunday.
