This should be an interesting draft for the Minnesota Vikings. They are entering the three-day event without a full-time general manager in place, which could shake up the future for the franchise in an extremely challenging NFC North division.

Once the draft ends, the Vikings' focus will need to shift to finding that long-term answer at general manager. Considering the timing and situation surrounding the hire, it could be a complicated process for the purple and gold.

One analyst close to the team seems to have a good feeling about what the team will do when a decision needs to be made about the general manager, despite there not being a ton of information available about possible options.

The Minnesota Vikings will hire their next general manager after the 2026 NFL Draft, and one analyst believes they have a good idea of who it will be.

In a recent post on X, former Minnesota Vikings player and current insider Ben Leber shared a statement on the general manager search that shouldn't be taken lightly. The comment reposted with a video from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk was short, but sweet.

"My money is on Rob to be the next GM"

Of course, Leber is referring to current interim general manager Rob Brzezinski when he says his money is on "Rob" to be the next GM of the Vikings. He has been part of the organization since 1999, when he was hired to be the team's director of football administration. He was promoted to vice president of football administration in 2001 and was promoted again to executive vice president of football operations in 2014.

Now, the job of general manager seems like his to lose. Minnesota put a lot of faith in him to handle operations as well as the draft before making an official hiring, and it wouldn't be shocking if the team stuck with Brzezinsky following the draft.

Ben Leber might be making the safe bet with this statement, but it also shows the feeling toward Brzezinsky within the organization. If someone as close to the Vikings as Leber is willing to post a statement like that, that is a glowing endorsement from someone who knows a lot more about the workings of the franchise than an outsider or casual fan.

Keep an eye on the Minnesota Vikings through the draft process. If there are no major mistakes or questions about the process, it would make sense for the team to continue with Rob Brzezinsky as the general manager and not look to replace him in that role moving forward.
