The Minnesota Vikings are struggling this season. Injuries have forced many of the team's players to miss time due to injury, and it appears as though a big piece of the offensive line will need to sit out Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
On the final injury report shared by the Vikings on Friday, it was revealed that starting left guard Donovan Jackson has been ruled out of the Week 13 contest due to an ankle injury that held him out of practice all week.
Minnesota Vikings left guard Donovan Jackson has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The injury report contained a couple of other big pieces of news. It isn't a surprise that quarterback J.J. McCarthy will also miss this game, considering that he entered concussion protocol after last week's game against the Packers.

However, the question marks of surrounding multiple contributors entering the game against the Seahawks could be a big issue.
Seeing Christian Darrisaw, Jonathan Greenard, Theo Jackson, Josh Metellus, and Jalen Redmond all being listed as questionable is scary. The good news is that all of those players practiced for the Vikings on Friday, even though they were limited.
If Minnesota's offense needs to take the field with backups at left tackle and left guard, things could be more difficult for undrafted free agent quarterback Max Brosmer when he fills in for J.J. McCarthy this weekend.
Donovan Jackson missed time earlier this season when he required surgery to repair his wrist, but got back in the lineup after being out for a few weeks. This team is a better unit when their first-round draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is in the lineup, so hopefully, he won't miss an extended amount of time with the ankle injury.
The Minnesota Vikings have a 4-7 record heading into this Week 13 contest and are struggling to find an offensive identity. The NFC North is thriving right now, while the purple and gold are in the basement of the division with very little hope in any postseason play.
However, the point right now is for this Vikings team to mesh and find its rhythm. Even without young quarterback J.J. McCarthy, the squad needs to come together and figure out what works and what doesn't. That is hard to do when there seems to be a revolving door of injuries holding the team back from playing as a unit.
