After an eventful Week 1 victory over the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings will attempt to begin their 2026 season with two straight wins over NFC North opponents when they take on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.
Minnesota hasn't lost a game in Chicago since 2019 (which produced the infamous "truth to all rumors" moment from Stefon Diggs a few days later), but getting a win on Sunday won't be simple for the Vikings. The Bears are coming off a Week 1 game in which they scored an impressive 59 points to get a victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Whatever ends up happening before and during Sunday's game, we'll have it covered here with both Vikings and Bears inactives, top plays from the contest, and more.

Key Matchups for Vikings at Bears in Week 2
Brian Flores vs. Ben Johnson
All week we've been hearing about the duel of geniuses that will take place this weekend between Chicago head coach Ben Johnson and Minnesota defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
Flores helped the Vikings' defense hold the Bears under their 2025 per-game averages for both points and yards in both meetings last season, but Minnesota was only able to get a win in one of those contests.
Chicago's offense and the Vikings' defense had outstanding performances in Week 1, and on Sunday, each unit will be looking to prove that last week wasn't a fluke.
Justin Jefferson vs. Bears' secondary
Minnesota all-world wide receiver Justin Jefferson returned to form last week, hauling in eight catches for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Jefferson hasn't finished with more than 47 receiving yards in a matchup at Soldier Field since 2020, but on Sunday, he gets to go against a Bears secondary that just gave up 353 passing yards to a Panthers offense that ranked 26th in the NFL in passing yards per game a year ago.
Dallas Turner vs. Caleb Williams
Chicago's Caleb Williams is one of the best quarterbacks in the league at slithering away from defensive pressure, and this weekend, he'll likely be spending a bunch of his time attempting to stay out of the grasp of Vikings edge rusher Dallas Turner.
Turner had an incredible performance in Minnesota's season-opener last Sunday, with nine pressures, one sack, and one forced fumble against the Packers.
He's been able to sack Williams twice in the last two years, and he will certainly be looking for sack No. 3 on Sunday.
Vikings defensive line vs. Bears' rushing attack
In Carolina last weekend, Chicago literally ran over the Panthers' defense, as they finished the matchup rushing for 291 yards and six touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, the Vikings only gave up a total of 66 rushing yards to the Packers in their Week 1 contest.
With rain in the forecast for Sunday, don't expect the Bears' offense to shy away from running the football when they take on Minnesota. The Vikings should be able to contain Chicago's rushing attack better than Carolina did last week, but it's not going to be easy.
