Minnesota Vikings have a long history of turning UDFAs into successes
Looking back throughout the history of the Vikings, several undrafted players have contributed a significant amount to the success of the franchise, especially in recent memory.
John Randle is easliy the most successful undrafted player in Minnesota's history, and arguably in the history of the entire NFL. Randle spent 11 years in a Vikings uniform and his efforts earned him six trips to the Pro Bowl, six First-Team All-Pro selections, and a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Then, of course, there's Adam Thielen, who most recently decided to close the door on his NFL career after 13 years in the league. Thielen's story is straight out of a movie, as the Minnesota native fought his way onto the Vikings' practice squad and eventually found a way to remain with the team for more than a decade.
There have been many other undrafted players who have achieved an impressive amount of success in a Minnesota uniform including Mick Tingelhoff, Marcus Sherels, C.J. Ham, Chris Kluwe, and more.
This latest group of undrafted prospects to sign with the Vikings are probably all hoping that they can follow a similar path to what guys like Thielen, Sherels, or even Randle, were able to do in a Minnesota uniform.
