While the Baltimore Ravens don't have a single player listed on their final Week 10 injury report, the Minnesota Vikings could potentially be down four notable contributors for Sunday's contest inside U.S. Bank Stadium.
On Friday, Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell revealed that cornerback Jeff Okudah and tight end Josh Oliver have already been ruled out for this weekend's matchup with the Ravens due to injury. O'Connell shared that Okudah is still in concussion protocol and Oliver is still dealing with a foot injury he suffered in Minnesota's Week 8 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
In addition to already ruling Okudah and Oliver out for this weekend's matchup in the Twin Cities, the Vikings have listed running back Aaron Jones and safety Theo Jackson as questionable for the contest. Jones is battling through shoulder and toe injuries, while Jackson is continuing to recover from a concussion he suffered in Minnesota's win over the Detroit Lions last week.
Minnesota Vikings confident in TE depth with Josh Oliver set to miss another game
After sharing that Oliver won't be suiting up for Minnesota for the second game in a row on Friday, O'Connell talked about how the team feels confident about its tight end group with veteran Nick Vannett and others needing to play more snaps.
"[Vannett] is a guy that we went out and got for a reason, veteran presence, kind of along
the lines of what Josh Oliver brings, is Nick's skill set.
...We feel really good about the depth we have, not only Nick, [but] there's a reason why we made
sure to bring Ben Sims back to the building, [along] with Ben Yurosek, and then we've got Bryson [Nesbit] on the practice squad, along with Nick, that we feel like gives us a skill set that those guys are always progressing, working, and making sure they're ready when their number's called."
Last Sunday in Detroit, Vannett was on the field for 44 percent of the Vikings' offensive snaps, and Ben Yurosek was used on 27 percent of the team's offensive snaps. Before last weekend, Vannett's season-high for offensive snaps was only three.
Minnesota should also be able to help make up for Oliver's absence in Week 10, with fullback C.J. Ham expected to be back on the field after missing the team's last two games with a hand injury.
If the Vikings are in need of some extra blocking help on Sunday, Ham has already proven throughout his NFL career that he is more than capable of providing that.
