With his upbeat personality and positive approach to life, Aaron Jones was a perfect fit inside the Minnesota Vikings locker room when he signed with the team last year.

Off the field, Jones has used his platform to give back and help others throughout his NFL career, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that he recently revealed that he used to be involved with the Special Olympics.

During the week leading up to Super Bowl LIX last month, Jones sat down with Special Olympics athlete (and Vikings fan) Wyatt Spalding and FanSided's Cody Williams to talk about how he and his brother used to be coaches in the Special Olympics (Jones's comments start at the 3:58 mark of the video below)

"I coached basketball and track.

...Those were some of the best times. Me and my twin brother, he coached as well, we did it together, and it was a lot of fun."

Aaron Jones had a memorable first season with the Minnesota Vikings

After spending the first seven years of his NFL career with the rival Green Bay Packers, Jones crossed over to the good side last season and suited up for the Vikings.

His arrival helped Minnesota make some tremendous improvements in running the football compared to the 2023 campaign. With Jones in the backfield, the Vikings went from ranking 29th in the NFL in rushing yards per game in 2023 to ranking 19th in this same category last season.

He also made an impact on Minnesota beyond what he did on the field. Jones quickly emerged as a leader in the locker room and someone who Vikings fans loved to root for.

Unfortunately, he's scheduled to become a free agent this offseason, so it's possible that his time in purple might have already come to an end.

Hopefully, Jones and Minnesota are able to work out a new deal to bring him back for another season so that Wyatt and the rest of the Vikings fans base can continue to root for him every week.
