It's an exciting time for fans of Randy Moss. Recently, the Minnesota Vikings legend Randy Moss announced that he will be returning to his broadcasting job at ESPN for Sunday NFL Countdown full-time for the 2025 season.
Moss exited the program last year in November when he was diagnosed with cancer. The Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver had surgery and was able to return for the Super Bowl, but his future role with the show was left up in the air.
Minnesota Vikings legend Randy Moss is excited about getting back to ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown
One thing for certain is that Randy Moss seems to be in great spirits. The "Superfreak" of the Minnesota Vikings spoke with the TMZ Sports Show about his return to broadcasting in 2025 and took a playful jab at one of his coworkers.
"Man, I look forward to it. I missed my crew. Greenie, Alex, Teddy...I really didn't miss Rex Ryan much because he got on my nerves. So, Rex, if you're hearing this, I am coming back, so scoot over. But really, Michael, in all honesty, we have a great group of guys that I work with that I tremendously missed for two months, and ESPN accepted me back with open arms."
The fact that Moss can be so excited about his return to TV and rejoining his peers is amazing. Talking about his coworkers and having some fun with it is wonderful to see and should help him return to form in 2026.
“Just being able to experience that was nothing I wish on any man or any human being. But for the fact that God took me through it and brought me out of it back healthy, being able to be back with my family, great support system, and some great doctors around me. Like I said, it was an emotional roller coaster, but the people I met on the way, I’m a blessed man. I’ll leave it at that.”
Minnesota Vikings fans should be excited to see Randy Moss return to broadcasting, especially since he seems to be ready for television and is already in great form. Overcoming adversity is never easy, but the legendary wide receiver looked to his faith and worked to come back to football every week. Don't miss him when he brings his talent back to ESPN this season.
