After fighting his way into the starting lineup recently, second-year defensive lineman Jalen Redmond is, unfortunately, among the players on the Minnesota Vikings inactives list for Sunday's Week 16 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Redmond had the opportunity to start for the Vikings in the team's last two contests against the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears. But after suffering a concussion in Minnesota's win over the Bears last Monday.

In addition to Redmond being inactive this weekend, the Vikings will be without veteran safety Harrison Smith for the first time this season. Luckily, Minnesota cornerback Stephon Gilmore will be active for the first time since Week 13, but the team's secondary will definitely be something to keep an eye on with Smith being inactive.

Over on the other sideline, the Seahawks have a pretty banged-up roster, but the majority of their top players will be suiting up this weekend, including quarterback Geno Smith, who exited the team's last game early with a knee injury.

With Smith not 100 percent, though, the Vikings should have a great opportunity to make an impact with their pass rush. Minnesota's defense is among the best in the NFL in generating pressure this season, and there's no reason to think this won't won't continue on Sunday.
