Rivalries are great to revisit, especially when the team is on the right side of the scoreboard, but when the moments are remembered incorrectly, that's when things get interesting.

Chicago Bears defensive back Jaquan Brisker recently spoke with the media, where he boasted about his trash talk abilities and claimed to make "grown men cry" with his words. When a reporter asked him to give an example of when he made a player cry with his trash talk, Brisker shared his memory of facing off against Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

"My rookie year, you can ask Kindle Vildor, he was at corner, and I was talking a lot of trash to Justin Jefferson and he was crying. The second half, that's when he dropped like every ball. First time, he killed us, but second half, just pay attention to the game. You'll see."

Jaquan Brisker must have forgotten what happened to the Chicago Bears in 2022 vs. Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings

Brisker asked the reporters to take a look back at those games in 2022. So, let's do that.

In the first matchup, while it was a tight matchup, the Vikings were able to pull out a 29-22 win over the Bears. Jefferson finished that game catching 12 of 13 targets for 154 yards and ended up torching Chicago's secondary.

The Bears were hoping to get a little revenge on the Vikings in the second matchup against each other at the end of the season.

Another disappointment for Chicago, as they were blown out by Minnesota, 29-13. Jefferson caught four of his five targets for 38 yards. Credit to the Bears for their performance, but he was pulled late in the game after Minnesota was blowing them out, so a small asterisk is warranted there.

Throughout his career, Jefferson has had considerable success against the Bears. In nine career games, he has caught 54 passes for 729 yards and four touchdowns. That's an average of 81 yards per game against Chicago. Pretty good numbers.

Brisker thought he was being slick when sharing that story, but he just created bulletin board material for Jefferson to use later in the season when they play again. Jefferson already has a touchdown on them in Week 1 in their 27-24 win over the Bears, so he might be looking for some more in the rematch.
