Health has been a major factor for the Minnesota Vikings this season. Multiple players have sustained injuries or gone through concussion protocol, leaving backups to assume big roles for the team in the first three weeks.

On Sunday, the Vikings are scheduled to play in the first-ever NFL game in Ireland, where they will face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Sadly, there are several key names on the injury report for Thursday.

The Minnesota Vikings have seven players who weren't full participants in practice on Thursday ahead of the Week 4 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Ireland.

There is still time for some of these players to be ready for action on Sunday morning, but Thursday's injury report is enough to have some Minnesota Vikings fans concerned about the status of some of their favorite players ahead of the game.

Here is Thursday's injury report as shared on X (formerly Twitter):

The first thing to notice is that two players sat out of practice, but the reason isn't injury-related. Defensive lineman Jonathan Allen and offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw got some rest on Thursday. This should have no impact on their availability for Sunday.

On the other hand, four players did not practice and were given injury designations. Guard Donovan Jackson, quarterback J.J. McCarthy, edge rusher Andrew Van Ginkel, and tight end Ben Yurosek all missed practice.

Jackson is recovering from a minor procedure on his wrist that will cause him to miss Week 4. In his place, former starter Blake Brandel is expected to fill in at left guard until he can return to action for Minnesota.

In addition, J.J. McCarthy is healing from an ankle injury that he sustained against the Falcons in Week 2. Carson Wentz got the start in his place last week and is expected to fill that role once again in Ireland this week.

Van Ginkel is dealing with a neck injury, and Yurosek has a knee ailment. Neither player has participated in practice this week, and not having their starting edge rusher available would mean a bigger role for Dallas Turner this week.

Finally, only defensive lineman Javon Hargrave was limited in practice. Designated with a chest injury, Hargrave improved from his status on Wednesday when he was unable to practice, giving hope that he will be good to go when the Minnesota Vikings face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Ireland on Sunday.
