The search for a new Minnesota Vikings general manager appears to be over. The process started upon the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft. It went through two rounds of interviews before a candidate was reported to have been hired to assume the position heading into the upcoming season.

This is an interesting decision for the Vikings, who put Rob Brzezinski in the interim general manager role when Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was relieved of those duties and seemed to perform well in that role this offseason.

Brzezinski was considered the favorite by many to assume that job on a full-time basis. However, that assumption seemed premature, as the longtime purple and gold assistant was not named the team's new general manager on Saturday.

The Minnesota Vikings have reportedly found their new general manager, and the choice could surprise many fans.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero shared on X that the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with Seattle Seahawks assistant general manager Nolan Teasley to lead the team in the front office as the franchise's new GM.

Teasley took part in the NFL's Accelerator Program in May after assuming multiple roles for the Seahawks over the years. In Seattle, he has served as assistant general manager, assistant director of pro personnel, director of pro personnel, and pro personnel scout.

His roots in scouting and the recent Seahawks drafting success give hope that future Minnesota drafts can have more impact on the roster. After the Vikings struggled with drafting under previous GM Adofo-Mensah, it's not shocking to see the team look for a talent expert to make those decisions in the future.

If Rob Brzezinski stays on as an assistant general manager, he and Nolan Teasley could make a great duo in the front office. Pairing a salary cap wizard with an excellent talent evaluator is a recipe for future success.

Of course, fans cannot dismiss that last season saw Sam Darold lead the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl win. Seattle made a bold play by going all-in on Darnold and moving on from Geno Smith at quarterback.

Now, Nolan Teasley has an opportunity to find the next great starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. That player might already be on the roster, but if they aren't, the team wants to be sure they have the right pieces in place to make good decisions to give the franchise a bright future.
