The Minnesota Vikings have a lot of work to do before the 2025 NFL season begins. They need to figure out their quarterback situations, have a strategy for free agency, and prepare for the 2025 NFL Draft among other things.
The start of the new year is still a bit off, but that doesn't mean there is nothing for Vikings fans to be excited about. In fact, more information about the purple and gold's offseason will be coming very soon.
Minnesota Vikings will reveal new details about 2025 offseason plans next week
The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is less than a week away. Teams like the Minnesota Vikings speak at this event while having an opportunity to interact with prospects who could be selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler recently shared a schedule of the podium times for teams at the combine. Minnesota will take the stage on Tuesday with the head coach and general manager speaking.
Here are the listed times for the Minnesota Vikings speakers:
- Head coach Kevin O'Connell: Feb. 25 @ 11:30 am CT
- General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah: Feb. 25 @ 11:45 am CT
The on-field events may not start until Thursday, but the Minnesota Vikings will be speaking on Tuesday to discuss their offseason plans. There should be some interesting quotes from both speakers to get some insight about the direction the franchise is heading this offseason.
The Vikings hold the No. 24 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and are scheduled to be on the clock immediately after the Green Bay Packers in the first round. The combine will give Minnesota a chance to evaluate potential selrctions.
There is also the opportunity to talk with other teams. Without tampering, the NFL Combine is a great opportunity for general managers to get together and talk about their current situations and plans for future success. That could involve opening the door on some kind of deal or asking about potential opportunities.
This offseason should be an intriguing one for the Minnesota Vikings. Despite not having many draft picks, the team has a large amount of salary cap space and a talented roster to roll into the 2025 NFL season. The only question is what moves they will make to improve upon an excellent outing last season that saw the team win 14 games.
