When the Minnesota Vikings step onto the field inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, for a Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, they will be doing something for the first time ever.
While they've worn the uniform combo in the recent past, the Vikings have revealed that they will be suiting up in a white jersey, white pants, and purple helmet setup for the first time in a regular-season international matchup this weekend.

Minnesota Vikings all-white uniform to make its international debut in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns
Dating back to the 2015 season, Minnesota has a 3-8 record in games where they've worn the purple helmet, white jersey, and white pants uniform combo, with their last victory coming in Week 16 of the 2022 season when they defeated the New York Giants inside U.S. Bank Stadium.
Outside their home stadium, the Vikings have a 2-7 record in the all-white uniform combo (not including the Winter Warrior uniforms they debuted last season).
The last time Minnesota got a win in the uniform during a game that wasn't on its home field was back in Week 6 of the 2021 season when they escaped with an overtime victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Whether one is superstitious about how teams perform in certain uniforms or not, the numbers show that the Vikings aren't very successful in the uniform combo that they will be wearing in London on Sunday against the Browns.
But despite the fact that Minnesota hasn't done well in its all-white threads in the past, they are heading into this weekend's matchup with an undefeated record in regular-season games that take place in London, England.
The Vikings suffered their first-ever regular-season loss on international soil last Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. But that contest was, of course, played in Dublin, Ireland, and not London.
Hopefully, after this weekend, Minnesota will still be able to say that they have never lost a game in London by getting a much-needed win over Cleveland.
