One NFL insider won't back down from the Aaron Rodgers-Vikings narrative

Would you just drop it already?!

Just when Minnesota Vikings fans might have thought they were in the clear when it came to the Aaron Rodgers rumors, Dianna Russini is continuing to try to make it a thing. Despite Tom Pelissero reporting that the Vikings were planning to roll with J.J. McCarthy as their starting quarterback in 2025, Russini is still predicting Rodgers will end up in Minnesota.

"I think Aaron Rodgers is going to be a Minnesota Viking," Russini said on The Dan Patrick Show on Thursday. It is worth mentioning that Russini said repeatedly that she hates playing these type of guessing games and The Dan Patrick Show account even made sure to state that this wasn't a report from Russini but rather just a guess.

Vikings fans wish Dianna Russini would stop linking Aaron Rodgers to Minnesota

Again, Russini made sure to clarify that she's not giving a report but for whatever reason she still seems to think that Rodgers will find his way to Minnesota even with all of the other reports about the Vikings not being interested floating around. The Vikings lost Sam Darnold this offseason to the Seahawks and that should have signaled that it's officially McCarthy's ship to anchor but the Rodgers rumors threw that off course at least for a little bit.

People not in Minnesota might love the idea of Rodgers signing with the Vikings because it'd mean he's fallen Brett Favre's career nearly exactly team-wise. Vikings fans would rather not deal with the headache that is Rodgers and his theatrics though.

It'd be nice if Rodgers could either join the Steelers or Giants once and for all so Vikings fans can stop hearing about him. Perhaps Russini is helping Rodgers out here by continuing to build this narrative so the other teams offer him more money or maybe she really does think this will happen. Hopefully this whole thing comes to an end soon.
