The only certainty for the Minnesota Vikings entering the 2025 season is the depth of their skill players on offense.
Young second-year starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy has arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL with Justin Jefferson, and adding Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson to the picture just makes it better. Not to mention, Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason in the backfield give McCarthy one of the best offenses in football.
Even the offensive line saw some great moves made in the offseason with Will Fries, Ryan Kelly, and the rookie first-round pick, Donvan Jackson, helping boost a line that needed it. This has the makings of a great offensive performance in 2025, as many agree on that part of the Vikings' roster.
Offensive supporting cast named biggest strength of the 2025 Minnesota Vikings
Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine recently went through each NFL team to name their biggest strengths and weaknesses on the roster before the preseason begins. For the Vikings, the focus of their strength lies in all the players McCarthy has around him in Minnesota.
"J.J. McCarthy is going to get a better shot than most at succeeding in the NFL. There isn't a better place for a quarterback to be than the Minnesota Vikings.
Sam Darnold deserves props for resurrecting his career, but it's undeniable that having a Kevin O'Connell-designed offense, Justin Jefferson and a strong offensive line in front of him helped.
The Vikings have carefully constructed one of the best offensive ecosystems in the league. They made it even better by overhauling the interior of the offensive line with Will Fries, Ryan Kelly and first-round pick Donovan Jackson.
The added protection and punch in the run game are going to make life even easier for McCarthy."
Last year's Vikings offense was also reliant on the skill players around Darnold to make him look good. Minnesota ranked sixth in the NFL in passing yards per game with 237.8.
Adding in one of the brightest offensive minds in the NFL in Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell, Minnesota is poised to do great things once again.
O'Connell's biggest job this offseason has been getting McCarthy ready, and O'Connell has given his franchise signal caller all the tools needed, from a great playbook to the weapons on offense.
The Vikings are set up for a dominant 2025 season, and even if it doesn't go quite as they think, they can at least provide some fireworks in the regular season.
