Vikings takeaway No. 2

A linebacker had a huge game.

It would be easy to praise quite a few Minnesota Vikings linebackers from this game. Pass rusher Danielle Hunter had seven combined tackles including two sacks and rookie Ivan Pace Jr. had a big pass defense and a good hit on Chicago's quarterback.

However, the day belonged to Jordan Hicks. The veteran defender led the team with 10 total tackles and secured an interception on the day. Not only that, but he scooped up a Chicago fumble and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Jordan Hicks restructured his contract, saving the team $1.5 million to stay in Minnesota this season and is scheduled to become a free agent at the end of the season. This game alone should help to raise his stock when teams start looking for a linebacker in the offseason.

Seeing the Minnesota Vikings linebacker get a takeaway has been rare this season but having one player get two in a game felt amazing. The 32-year-old defender was a spark on defense and should continue to play well going forward.
