Melvin Ingram just turned 34 in April, but despite his age, he's still making the most of his opportunities in the NFL.
In 2022, Ingram was only on the field for 45 percent of the Dolphins' defensive snaps. However, he still managed to generate six sacks and average more than two pressures per game.
At this point in his career, he seems like he's come to terms with not being a full-time starter in the league anymore. But that is exactly what the Vikings need.
In addition to all of this, Ingram has also been a part of defenses that run a similar scheme to what Minnesota defensive coordinator Brian Flores is expected to use next season, so any sort of adjustment period for the veteran defender shouldn't take very long at all.
