Candidate No. 1: Chad Greenway - LB (2006 - 2016)

After he was selected in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft, Chad Greenway didn't even get to play a snap for the Vikings until the 2007 season, thanks to tearing his ACL in Minnesota's first game of the 2006 preseason.

Once Greenway hit the field though, he proved almost immediately that he was worth the first-round pick the Vikings used on him in 2006. In his very first regular season game with Minnesota in 2007, he racked up a total of 10 tackles and one forced fumble.

In six of his first sevens seasons with Minnesota, Greenway accumulated at least 105 tackles. During the 2011 campaign, the former Vikings linebacker finished with 154 total tackles, which is still the most by a Minnesota player since 1994. Greenway is also the only former Vikings player since 1987 to accumulate more than 140 tackles in three separate seasons.

For his efforts, the former Minnesota defender was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2011 and 2012, the only two selections of his career. When he retired in 2017, Greenway walked away from the league with the fourth-most combined tackles in Vikings history.
