Kevin O'Connell - Head Coach

After the Vikings' Week 1 blunder against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in which they only scored 17 points, many questions arose about Minnesota head coach Kevin O'Connell. How could such an offensive-minded coach only lead his talented team to score a measly 17 points?

While this past Thursday against the Eagles wasn't the answer to all those questions, especially due to a loss, it was more of a promising game for the Vikings' offense.

Minnesota's offense was able to put up 28 points against an impressive Philadelphia defense and should have had much more if it weren't for some costly fumbles. It was a complete 180 from the stagnant Vikings offense that showed up in Week 1, showing that the team still had life on the offensive side of the ball.

As the head coach, though, whether it is his job or not, the obscene amount of fumbles committed by Minnesota this season needs to be corrected, and O'Connell needs to fix this fast.

The Vikings are just a few plays from being 2-0, so O'Connell still has work to do. But even with the large turnover differential, the fact that Minnesota has still been so close to wins in the last two weeks shows they are on the cusp of getting it figured out.
