Alexander Mattison - RB

Nobody was hit harder by criticism after the Vikings' Week 2 loss than Alexander Mattison. The things that were said to Mattison after the loss were quite sickening and shined a bad light on Minnesota fans.

While we can admit that Mattison hasn't been stellar to start the season, some people's lengths to let him know about it crossed a major line.

It is fair to question if Mattison is "the guy" at running back for the Vikings after his start to the year, but he has also received very little help.

Mattison is averaging 0.95 yards before contact on his 19 carries, which ranks 43rd in the league. To put it lightly, that is very bad.

It's hard to get things going when the defensive line is essentially taking the handoffs with Mattison, showing once again how big of an issue the offensive line is for Minnesota.

Whether Mattison is a real RB1 is up for debate, but it's hard to deny that the Vikings' offensive line is hurting his ability to prove himself.
