Viking No. 2

Ed Ingram - RG

To preface this scapegoat selection, it is worth stating that we know that Ed Ingram is bad. This is not a selection to try and prove Ingram's worth on the Vikings or anything of that nature. So why is he on this list?

As every Minnesota fan knows, and probably every football fan in general, Ingram is a fairly terrible player. The amount of pressure that he is set to allow this season is astronomical, and he has already forced a turnover on the Vikings in just three games. And this is exactly why Ingram makes this list.

Minnesota knows what they will get from Ingram every week, and that's poor play. So as he continues to stumble, we cannot blame him for his failures.

The higher-ups in the organization are the ones to question for not upgrading the right guard position and letting Ingram continue to fail the team.

Think of it this way: If you went out into a storm with an umbrella that had many holes in it, would you blame it for letting you get wet?

Thankfully, the Vikings have at least attempted to "upgrade their umbrella" by signing Dalton Risner recently, in a move that is expected to push Ingram out of the starting lineup.

Goodbye Ingram, and for the sake of Minnesota's offense, good riddance.
