3. Make the defense younger

It's not breaking news, but this Vikings' group isn't getting any younger. Guys like Harrison Smith (11 years), Anthony Barr (nine years), Danielle Hunter (eight years), Jordan Hicks (eight years), and Jonathan Bullard (seven years), all contributed at times this past season, but can't reasonably be expected to be apart of the next core. Attacking the draft with an eye for talented, young defenders is probably going to be the move this April – Illinois' Jer’Zhan Newton and Texas' Byron Murphy are two young defensive tackles with star-level ceilings that would look great in purple.
