Reason No. 3

Minnesota will play turnover-free football

One could chalk up the Vikings' first two losses of the 2023 season single-handedly on turnovers.

Last week, Minnesota fumbled four times in a 34-28 loss to the Eagles. One of those fumbles came from Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, who lost control of the ball while trying to reach it over the goal line, and ultimately, the ball went out through the end zone for a touchback.

It is safe to assume that Kevin O'Connell and his Minnesota coaching staff have put an emphasis on protecting the football this week on both offense and special teams.

Had the Vikings eliminated even half of the turnovers they've had so far this season, then they would likely be 2-0, and Kirk Cousins would probably be considered an early NFL MVP candidate.

The Chargers' struggles defensively should lead to a turnover-free game for Cousins and company to help put themselves right back into the NFC North race by getting a win on Sunday.
