Trade Idea No. 1

Vikings Receive: Kenny Moore II - CB
Colts Receive: 2024 fourth-round draft pick

Kenny Moore II, up until this past season, had been one of the best slot corners in the NFL. In 2022, he missed four games, and the Colts underwent a scheme change defensively, so Moore saw a dip in production as a result.

Moore is still only 27-years-old and has plenty of football left, but the question is, will that football be played in Indianapolis?

Colts defensive coordinator Gus Bradley runs a scheme that does not utilize a slot corner heavily, and with Moore working primarily as a slot corner, you can see why there have been rumblings of him being on his way out.

The former Pro Bowl corner could use a change of scenery, as Indianapolis is not expected to be competitive in 2023 and are in the midst of a rebuild.

Moore would be a great fit in Minnesota under head coach Kevin O'Connell and defensive coordinator Brian Flores, and if he can regain his 2021 form, the Vikings' defense could be in for a significant improvement.

The addition of the current Colts cornerback would give Minnesota the opportunity to put Byron Murphy Jr. on the outside, leaving Moore to handle the ever-important slot in the Flores defense. With a very greenhorn-like cornerback room, this would be ideal for the Vikings in 2023.

The price for Moore shouldn't be steep either, as an early Day 3 pick probably gets the deal done.
