Unsung Hero No. 3

Brian Flores - Defensive Coordinator

The Vikings' defense did not allow a touchdown in their win over Carolina this past weekend, with the lone Panthers touchdown coming off of their defense's long pick-six in the first quarter.

That is very impressive for Minnesota's defense, regardless of the opponent. With a game-changing touchdown of their own, it's fair to say that the Vikings' defense was easily the star of the show in their win over the Panthers.

Minnesota defensive coordinator Brian Flores is doing just as promised when it comes to blitzing, and while the defense struggled to get to the quarterback in previous weeks, they sacked Carolina rookie signal-caller Bryce Young five times this past weekend.

Getting pass rusher Marcus Davenport into a full game for the first time this year greatly helped the Vikings generate pressure on the quarterback in Week 4, something that will hopefully continue down the line.

Instead of their offense, Minnesota's defense was the one doing the heavy lifting against their opponent this time, something that Vikings fans have not seen in quite a while.
