Josh Metellus - S
Josh Metellus was responsible for the strip sack that led to the Jordan Hicks scoop-and-score on Tyson Bagent. He finished the game with eight tackles (two for a loss), a sack, and three quarterback hits to go along with his forced fumble.
Metellus has been incredible and is showing why he was named a team captain by Kevin O'Connell and his teammates. He is flourishing in the new defense with defensive backs moving around before and after the snap, and the Brian Flores arrival has really brought out the best in Metellus.
There are plenty of questions regarding the future of the Vikings' secondary once Harrison Smith calls it a career, and with Lewis Cine not panning out so far, Josh Metellus appears to be the next man in line to be the lead safety.
He seems to be in the right spot whenever the Vikings need someone to make a play. Metellus is also proving to be a really good run defender and blitzer, which makes him such an important piece for this defense.
The captain came up with the biggest play of the game and was a key defender in multiple other stops on the afternoon. He was constantly in the backfield and terrorizing the Bears' run game.
