4 cheap free-agent RBs the Vikings could sign to replace Dalvin Cook

RB No. 3: J.D. McKissic
2022 Team - Washington Commanders
After beginning his NFL career with a few seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and a short stint with the Detroit Lions, J.D. McKissic found a home with the Washington Commanders for the last three years.
McKissic had a breakout performance in 2020 when he caught a whopping 80 passes for 589 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 365 yards and another score.
Since 2019, only Alvin Kamara, Christian McCaffrey, and Austin Ekeler have had a single season with more receptions than the amount McKissic had during the 2020 campaign.
So if the Vikings want to add a veteran back to their offense who is a reliable pass-catcher out of the backfield, then McKissic could be a guy for them to consider. Having a running back like this in his offense would only allow Minnesota head coach Kevin O'Connell to get closer to accomplishing his goal of creating the illusion of complexity on the offensive side of the ball.
