For a few current Minnesota Vikings players, their spots on the team's final 2023 roster are far from a sure thing.

The Minnesota Vikings are chugging along this preseason. They've completed two games and have one remaining before the coaches and front office need to decide who the final 53 men are who will call themselves Minnesota Vikings when the team takes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 10th.

Minnesota's roster has been adjusted multiple times this preseason, with some players being cut and new faces being signed to replace them.

There are a handful of Vikings who, at the start of the preseason, seemed like locks to make the final roster. Whether it was from them being a veteran with experience or maybe an early-round draft pick, their status looked secure.

After nearly two dozen practices and two preseason games, those roster spots aren't looking like locks anymore.

These Minnesota players could still end up making the team, but their poor play has caused the Vikings to think twice about keeping them around and has them thinking about ulterior options.

So let's go over a few of these players, starting with a veteran offensive lineman who is coming off of a forgettable performance in Minnesota's last preseason game.
