Jordan Addison - WR

The Vikings drafted Jordan Addison in the first round of this year's draft with the expectation that he can become the Robin to Justin Jefferson's Batman. Although this is a hard ask for any rookie, the situation Addison is in now has him set up for success early.

Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson will be the main focus of any defensive coordinator preparing for the Vikings. In 2022, Vikings fans could see a considerable difference in their offense when teams were doubling Jefferson, and Minnesota had no answer to counter that.

Inserting Addison into Kevin O'Connell's offense gives the reigning NFC North champions exactly what they need, a receiver that can take the top off the defense. Addison may be a little behind due to missing minicamp with a minor injury, but if he can stay healthy and make it through training camp, we could see Addison explode onto the scene sooner rather than later.

Some people forget that Addison beat out the likes of Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, and Drake London to win the 2021 Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver while he was at Pitt. Many people had Addison pegged as a sure-fire top-10 draft pick entering his 2022 season.

Injuries played a part in Addison's decline in production from 2021 to 2022, but in the 10 games he did appear for the USC Trojans, he was a key part of their offensive gameplan. The numbers may not jump out at you, but when you turn on the tape, you see exactly why teams were high on Addison in the 2023 draft.
