Kene Nwangwu and Ty Chandler - RBs

This is a tandem selection since both running backs are battling for the same spot on Minnesota's depth chart, and according to head coach Kevin O'Connell there's already been "a nice competition brewing" between the two players during the team's OTAs this spring.

Kene Nwangwu is entering his third year with the Vikings while Ty Chandler is entering his second. With the assumption that Dalvin Cook isn't going to be on Minnesota's roster much longer, both backs are competing for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart behind Alexander Mattison.

Despite Nwangwu being in the NFL for a year longer, Chandler probably has the early edge in this RB2 battle. He was drafted by the current regime and it feels like O'Connell has been raving about him ever since he arrived last year as a rookie.

Nwangwu does have elite speed, and that's something that can't be taught. But he's never been given much of a shot on offense during his first two seasons with the Vikings.

Could this be the year where that changes, or will Chandler emerge as Minnesota's top backup running back heading into the regular season?
